Interactive Effects of Nitrogen Application and Irrigation on Water Use, Growth and Tuber Yield of Potato under Subsurface Drip Irrigation

چکیده
Potatoes are a high-value crop with shallow root system and high fertilizer requirements. The primary emphasis in potato production is minimizing nitrogen-leaching losses from the zone through fertigation. Therefore, field experiment was conducted for two consecutive years, 2018–2019 2019–2020 to assess effect of nitrogen irrigation amount frequency on tuber yield, water balance components productivity potatoes under surface subsurface drip irrigation. laid out split-plot design three levels (187.5 kg N ha−1 (N1), 150 (N2) 112.5 (N3)) main plots six (drip lines were at 20 cm depth) one subplots. Irrigation scheduling based 100% cumulative pan evaporation an alternate (I1) two-day interval (I2), 80% (I3) (I4), 60% (I5) (I6) days (I7). Our results showed that transpiration higher N1 N2 compared N3, while soil N3 over N2. regimes I5 I6 had lower than I1, I2, I3 I7, I7 more I2 I3. Leaf area index (LAI), dry matter accumulation (DMA), mass density (RMD) yield par but significantly N3. LAI DMA statistically recommended Tuber saved 20% I1 I2. On other hand, real (WPET) comparable I4 practice (I7) as pooled evapotranspiration (ET) (E) 19.5 20.6 mm higher, respectively, Among interactive treatment combinations, N1I1, N1I2, N1I3, N1I7, N2I1, N2I2 N2I3 recorded highest yields without any significant differences among them. Treatment all combinations. Water

Effect of deficit irrigation on crop growth, yield and quality of onion in subsurface drip irrigation
Indiahas the largest area under onion (Allium cepa) crop but its average productivity (14.21 t ha-1) is considerably lower than the world’s average of 19.4 t ha-1. Besides low productivity, irrigation efficiencies are also very low i.e. 30-35% in India. Managing onion crop with less than adequate irrigation water availability is a challenge in several parts of the country. Options of i) deficit...
متن کاملEffects of different irrigation methods and hormone application on water use efficiency, yield, and leaf biochemical traits in potato
Investigation of different irrigation methods on plants is necessary due to limited water resources and the increasing need for food products. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of sprinkler and drip irrigation systems and hormones on morphological and physiological characteristics of potato. Treatments included sprinkler and drip irrigation systems and hormones (gibbere...

متن کاملYield and water use efficiency of early potato grown under different irrigation regimes
Potato grown for early or off-season production plays a crucial role in the economy of several areas in the Mediterranean countries. Irrigation is important for determining yield and earliness, thus a better investigation of plant response under various pedo-climatic conditions can help to improve resource use efficiency and farmer income. A two-year field research (2009-2010) was carried o...
